The creation of the picture book "Whale Encounter" took over 40 hours. The work aims to reflect the following themes and thoughts on these themes: First, a boy who lacks companionship and is depressed and withdrawn; The second is whaling; The third is violent injury; The fourth point is the importance of friendship. Although my original intention in creating was to produce a pure and beautiful fairy tale, as I kept writing, the ending became tragic and the beauty came to an abrupt end. As the work was completed during the COVID-19 period, I also want to express that protecting the environment and respecting nature are essential conditions for human survival.
