Work Title:Interwoven Realm: Dynamic Perception of Space, objects, and Human
Author: Sun Yayue
Creation time: 2025
Introduction:This project takes tickets as an entry point to explore the relationship between individuals and space. The research focuses on the role of objects in memory: they store and trigger personal experiences, enabling abstract emotions and experiences to connect with specific times and places, thereby shaping an individual’s understanding of the self.
The work consists of three rotatable vertical installations accompanied by video projections. Through interacting with the movement of the installations and the overlay of projections, viewers are introduced to a multi-layered spatial environment. The project reveals how objects elicit interactions between people and space, constructing and evoking memories, while highlighting the fluid nature of memory within this dynamic relationship. At the same time, this relationship between objects and space also contributes to shaping an individual’s understanding of the self.
